The next time you cringe at the thought of your upcoming dental appointment, take a moment to appreciate the fact that we are not living in the slums of Jaipur, India - where "doctors" Pushkar Singh and Pyara Singh perform dental procedures for cash (Rupees), without a dentist's chair or any anesthetic, and cleaning the dental tools consists of a small brush and some alcohol.



Despite the fact that they refer to themselves as "Doc" and "Doc Junior", neither of these men offer any evidence that they have had any formal dental training. Pushkar Singh - aka Doc Junior - tells us "I do not find this kind of work difficult, because I have done many technical things, such as bicycle repair!"

So if you ever find yourself biking in the streets of Jaipur, India, and you feel a toothache coming on, go and visit Pyara and Pushkar, and while they fix your teeth, perhaps they can oil and tighten your chain, and check your tire pressure too!
