Remote-controlled toothbrush from Oral-B

Friday, June 15, 2007

Oral-B, the long standing leader in toothbrushes, and the company that brought us the oscillating-rotating power toothbrush, has once again taken oral hygiene to new levels with the announcement of the new Oral-B Triumph with SmartGuide.

Touted as a remote-controlled cleaning system for the mouth, it features a sink-top LCD display that wirelessly guides your brushing - making sure you are moving your bristles long enough and makes sure you get each 'quadrant' of your mouth equally clean.

Previous Triumph toothbrush models featured the similar built-in guides, but placed unconveniently on the brush handle. (try reading that while the brush is in your mouth.)

And for those of us who are on-the-move doing a hundred other things while brushing our teeth, if you happen to walk out of range of the Oral-B Triumph with SmartGuide, it will instantly pick up on what was missed when you return back to the sink.

While a definate date has not been announced, expect to see the Oral-B Triumph with SmartGuide toothbrush in stores soon, at a price of around $150.
